Silver Jubilee Celebration - September 2, 2025
Achi Association USA: 25 Years of Transformative Impact
As the summer breeze of September 2025 carries with it the anticipation of celebration, Achi Association USA prepares to mark a milestone—its Silver Jubilee. For twenty-five years, this nonprofit has been a beacon of hope, a force for change, and a steadfast partner in community development.
Building Foundations for the Future
Since its inception on September 2, 2000, and its official 501(c) status in 2001, Achi Association USA set forth on a mission to uplift the lives of people in the global community. One of its earliest and most enduring commitments was to education. Recognizing that knowledge is the cornerstone of empowerment, the organization undertook the noble endeavor of building two elementary schools in Achi Mbieri Community. These schools have become hubs of learning, shaping the minds of young students who now dream bigger and reach higher.
Clean Water: A Lifeline Collaboration
Partnerships have been a defining feature of Achi Association USA’s work. With the support of Walla Walla Rotary Club and Rotary District 5080, the organization launched a crucial water project, bringing clean and sustainable water solutions to the community. Water is life, and through these efforts, families have access to safe drinking water, children are free from waterborne diseases, and communities thrive.
A Legacy of Healing
Health has always remained at the heart of Achi Association USA’s mission. Over the years, the organization has provided free medical projects to those in need, offering care not only to its immediate community but also to neighboring areas. These initiatives have bridged healthcare gaps, providing vital treatments, screenings, and education.
But perhaps its most significant medical achievement is its recent collaboration with Walla Walla Rotary Club, Rotary District 5080, and the Rotary International Foundation and Rotary Club of Owerri Central to build a state-of-the-art medical center. This facility stands as a testament to perseverance, kindness, and the collective strength of community-driven efforts.
A Celebration of Legacy and Future
As September 2025 approaches, the Silver Jubilee Celebration will be more than a festivity—it will be a tribute to resilience, collaboration, and the power of giving. It will honor the countless lives touched, the partnerships forged, and the unwavering dedication of those who believed in a better future. Achi Association USA is not just an organization; it is a movement—one that has, for a quarter of a century, lifted, healed, educated, and inspired. And as it steps into its next era, it does so with the same promise: to serve, uplift, and transform.
